Visit this Cape Coral restaurant/ice cream parlor by car or boat and enjoy the fenced in playground at Four Freedoms Park right across the street.  Bring your doggie for a complimentary cup of vanilla ice cream, while you enjoy banana splits, sundaes, hand packed fabulous ice cream in all sorts of flavors, shakes, smoothies, coffee, and more.
5. RC Otters, Captiva Island in SW Florida.  RC Otter’’s Island Eats is a place for the whole family! Located in the Heart of Old Captiva Village with lovely shopping and dining, you can enjoy live music daily with dining inside and outside.

In this post, I want to review exactly where Cape Coral Florida is, along with some interesting facts…

Cape Coral is located in Lee County, Florida, United States.

With over 400 miles of navigable waterways, Cape Coral has more miles of canals than any other city on earth. According to estimates as of 2009, the city had a population of 167,917, making it the largest city in Southwest Florida.

The population estimate for the Cape Coral-Fort Myers metropolitan area was more than 623,725 as of April 2008.

Cape Coral is bordered on the south and east by the Caloosahatchee River and on the west by Matlacha Pass. The city of Fort Myers lies across the Caloosahatchee River to the south and east, and Matlacha and Pine Island lie across Matlacha Pass to the west.

Cape Coral is connected to Fort Myers by two bridges. The Cape Coral Bridge connects Cape Coral Parkway to College Parkway in Fort Myers. The Midpoint Memorial Bridge connects Veterans Parkway to Colonial Boulevard.

Did you know that land development started in Cape Coral on November 4, 1957?  And, the first family moved into Cape Coral on June 14, 1958?
