On the 4th of July the celebrations on the Caloosahatchee River are amazing!

This is part 14 of our 28 Hidden Treasures of Cape Coral series, which is also available on iTunes, and as an eBook on our Team Aubuchon web site.

You can sit in your boat, in the middle of the river, and literally look around seeing fireworks firing off all around you — there’s nothing like it…

The biggest fireworks display though is Cape Coral’s Red, White and Boom —

This special Fourth of July event is held every year at the foot of the Cape Coral Bridge.

Families and friends come together to celebrate this day of independence by viewing national music acts, playing a variety of games, enjoying food and drink, and, of course, watching the incredible fireworks show at the end of the night.

The event shuts down traffic to-and-from the bridge, to make room for the biggest fireworks show in Southwest Florida.

Do you have any treasures you’ve found in Cape Coral, please share them below, we’d love to hear from you!
